Narrative:
On climb out from runway 24 on the teb 5 departure; on a positioning flight to ZZZ; the departure procedure calls for 'fly runway heading till 1500 ft then turn right to 280 degree heading till 4.5 DME then climb and maintain 2000 ft. On the turn to 280 degrees my first officer; who was flying right seat; starting climbing. I told him 1500 ft till 4.5 DME; but by that time the controller called up to say; your transponder is indicating 1900 ft. We corrected our altitude and continued the departure. No other mention of the event came from the controller. We had briefed the teb 5 departure prior and we first went over the teb 5 departure off runway 19; then we reviewed the departure off runway 24; which is what we flew. Then we sat on the end of the runway for about 30 mins waiting for our release. On departure my partner was thinking; at 1500 ft turn right to 280 degrees and climb to 2000 ft. To prevent this from happening again I need to make sure we review the departure procedure again to keep it fresh in our minds and make sure we are both on the same page. Reaffirming the correct departure procedure.

Narrative: ON CLBOUT FROM RWY 24 ON THE TEB 5 DEP; ON A POSITIONING FLT TO ZZZ; THE DEP PROC CALLS FOR 'FLY RWY HEADING TILL 1500 FT THEN TURN R TO 280 DEG HEADING TILL 4.5 DME THEN CLB AND MAINTAIN 2000 FT. ON THE TURN TO 280 DEGS MY FO; WHO WAS FLYING RIGHT SEAT; STARTING CLBING. I TOLD HIM 1500 FT TILL 4.5 DME; BUT BY THAT TIME THE CTLR CALLED UP TO SAY; YOUR XPONDER IS INDICATING 1900 FT. WE CORRECTED OUR ALT AND CONTINUED THE DEP. NO OTHER MENTION OF THE EVENT CAME FROM THE CTLR. WE HAD BRIEFED THE TEB 5 DEP PRIOR AND WE FIRST WENT OVER THE TEB 5 DEP OFF RWY 19; THEN WE REVIEWED THE DEP OFF RWY 24; WHICH IS WHAT WE FLEW. TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING AGAIN I NEED TO MAKE SURE WE REVIEW THE DEP PROC AGAIN TO KEEP IT FRESH IN OUR MINDS AND MAKE SURE WE ARE BOTH ON THE SAME PAGE. REAFFIRMING THE CORRECT DEP PROC.
