Narrative:
After landing on 28L at pt columbus airport, oh, and clearing the runway, I was told to hold short of runway 31. (This, while on taxiway C eastbound.) shortly before coming to the hold line I became distracted by cockpit conversation (I can't recall the exact content of the conversation) and did not commence to stop in time. The controller saw this and transmitted to the effect, 'are you going to hold short?' then, realizing my mistake, I stopped, but about 15-20' past the hold line. The other light or medium twin was airborne by this time and passed over and slightly in front of our nose. I estimate that he was 100' or more and the gear was already being retracted. I apologized to the tower immediately, and later, on the phone. Other than the mentioned transmission, no other comments were made to me over the ground frequency. There was no negative response made to me either on the landline call. As far as corrective action, I can't say anything but thanks to the controller who saw that I wasn't going to stop. It was my error.

Title: ACR MLG FAILED TO HOLD SHORT OF CROSSING RWY AS CLEARED CAUSING CLOSE PROX WITH SMT ON TKOF.
Narrative: AFTER LNDG ON 28L AT PT COLUMBUS ARPT, OH, AND CLRING THE RWY, I WAS TOLD TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 31. (THIS, WHILE ON TXWY C EBND.) SHORTLY BEFORE COMING TO THE HOLD LINE I BECAME DISTRACTED BY COCKPIT CONVERSATION (I CAN'T RECALL THE EXACT CONTENT OF THE CONVERSATION) AND DID NOT COMMENCE TO STOP IN TIME. THE CTLR SAW THIS AND TRANSMITTED TO THE EFFECT, 'ARE YOU GOING TO HOLD SHORT?' THEN, REALIZING MY MISTAKE, I STOPPED, BUT ABOUT 15-20' PAST THE HOLD LINE. THE OTHER LIGHT OR MEDIUM TWIN WAS AIRBORNE BY THIS TIME AND PASSED OVER AND SLIGHTLY IN FRONT OF OUR NOSE. I ESTIMATE THAT HE WAS 100' OR MORE AND THE GEAR WAS ALREADY BEING RETRACTED. I APOLOGIZED TO THE TWR IMMEDIATELY, AND LATER, ON THE PHONE. OTHER THAN THE MENTIONED XMISSION, NO OTHER COMMENTS WERE MADE TO ME OVER THE GND FREQ. THERE WAS NO NEGATIVE RESPONSE MADE TO ME EITHER ON THE LANDLINE CALL. AS FAR AS CORRECTIVE ACTION, I CAN'T SAY ANYTHING BUT THANKS TO THE CTLR WHO SAW THAT I WASN'T GOING TO STOP. IT WAS MY ERROR.
