Narrative:

On departure, failed to comply with IFR departure procedures, as depicted. In text, departure procedure is stated on takeoff minimums page. Tower cleared us for takeoff, but did not give, 'left turn heading 120, cleared for takeoff,' (as a courtesy, as normal, IFR departure procedures are used when tower is closed or barring further instructions). Upon contact with departure, we were told 'you were supposed to turn left to 120.' suggest tower remind IFR departures of initial heading or publish a SID. Ultimately, it was my responsibility as per aim/company procedures/far's.
