Narrative:
Passed assigned altitude of 11000', down to 10500' before caught. First officer caught bust. Using slightly unusual aircraft cockpit due to recent merger. Unfamiliar gauges and autoplt. Usual autoplt captures altitude. Autoplt in use does not, plus altimeter in use is smaller and harder to read than usual aircraft. Began climb to recover, but assigned lower before level. First officer busy, looked up and noticed altitude too low.
