Narrative:
Pushback from gate at bur commenced normally. After #1 engine start was complete I looked outside and noted the aircraft was stopped at a 45 degree angle to the runway and fairly close. I asked the ground crewman how close we were with no response. I noted landing lights touching down on runway 07 and asked again how close we were to the runway. I was told to standby. Ground control called at this time and said it looked like we were over the runway. I started telling the ground crew to pull us forward, but they were slow in their response and did not pull us forward before an medium large transport had landed, slowed to taxi speed and passed around behind us on their roll out. I feel this incident was caused by inexperienced personnel on a very small parking ramp. More thorough training for ground crew aircraft handlers would help solve this problem. Also perhaps not allowing aircraft to push back at bur with aircraft on short final for runway 07. All of the incidents occurred in a very short time. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: reporter has spoken to company agent who spoke to tower chief and ground personnel and hopes for a change in procedures.

Title: RWY TRANSGRESSION.
Narrative: PUSHBACK FROM GATE AT BUR COMMENCED NORMALLY. AFTER #1 ENG START WAS COMPLETE I LOOKED OUTSIDE AND NOTED THE ACFT WAS STOPPED AT A 45 DEG ANGLE TO THE RWY AND FAIRLY CLOSE. I ASKED THE GND CREWMAN HOW CLOSE WE WERE WITH NO RESPONSE. I NOTED LNDG LIGHTS TOUCHING DOWN ON RWY 07 AND ASKED AGAIN HOW CLOSE WE WERE TO THE RWY. I WAS TOLD TO STANDBY. GND CTL CALLED AT THIS TIME AND SAID IT LOOKED LIKE WE WERE OVER THE RWY. I STARTED TELLING THE GND CREW TO PULL US FORWARD, BUT THEY WERE SLOW IN THEIR RESPONSE AND DID NOT PULL US FORWARD BEFORE AN MLG HAD LANDED, SLOWED TO TAXI SPD AND PASSED AROUND BEHIND US ON THEIR ROLL OUT. I FEEL THIS INCIDENT WAS CAUSED BY INEXPERIENCED PERSONNEL ON A VERY SMALL PARKING RAMP. MORE THOROUGH TRNING FOR GND CREW ACFT HANDLERS WOULD HELP SOLVE THIS PROB. ALSO PERHAPS NOT ALLOWING ACFT TO PUSH BACK AT BUR WITH ACFT ON SHORT FINAL FOR RWY 07. ALL OF THE INCIDENTS OCCURRED IN A VERY SHORT TIME. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING: RPTR HAS SPOKEN TO COMPANY AGENT WHO SPOKE TO TWR CHIEF AND GND PERSONNEL AND HOPES FOR A CHANGE IN PROCS.
