Narrative:
The 'before landing' checks had been completed. [First officer] and I observed the three green landing gear lights. We were cleared a standard visual approach and cleared to land. The aircraft touched down normally followed by main gear brakes; speed brake extension; and thrust reverser deployment. However; after clearing runway centerline; the nose landing gear collapsed and the aircraft slid straight to a halt on the taxiway. We conducted an emergency shut down and evacuated the passengers without injuries.
