Narrative:
While the captain was advancing the throttle to the detent position; the right engine failed and the engine 2 out message appeared on the EICAS. All the indications were in the green range prior advancing the throttle. We had started engine 2 at the gate. We aborted the takeoff; completed the proper checklist and went back to the gate.

Title: An E-145 Flight Crew rejected their takeoff and returned to the gate following the failure of the right engine as power was advanced at the start of their takeoff roll.
Narrative: While the Captain was advancing the throttle to the detent position; the right engine failed and the ENG 2 OUT message appeared on the EICAS. All the indications were in the green range prior advancing the throttle. We had started engine 2 at the gate. We aborted the takeoff; completed the proper checklist and went back to the gate.
