Narrative:
Coast TRACON is responsible for separation on instrument final at long beach. Coast handed off air carrier Y at becca (FAF) on ILS runway 30. Air carrier Y was less than 2 mi in trail of air carrier X on ILS. Air carrier Y was at 140 KTS, and air carrier X at 110 KTS. Air carrier Y did not have air carrier X in sight. Air carrier X did have the airport in sight. Air carrier X circled to runway 25R and air carrier Y landed runway 30.
