Narrative:
Clearance was T39 departure cleared to ads via V477 to leona VOR then to scurry VOR then scurry 9 arrival. Frequency was first provided by houston, then ft worth centers. The problem arose when a possible airspace encroachment occurred by an medium large transport air carrier. I responded by calling the controller and asking why I was not informed of this aircraft. The controller's response was 'where was I'. My position was directly over scurry VOR. The controller's next response was that I should be on another frequency. At this time I stated I had not heard a request for a frequency change. Additionally, I had not confirmed a change. I believe the controller believed he had passed me to another sector but in essence forgotten about my flight. Furthermore, I had received no instructions from ATC for at least 1/2 hour, or any xmissions. The solutions are not easy, but one would be a mandatory requirement to break radio silence every 15 or 30 mins if no instructions or xmissions are received by ATC. This could be the aircraft number and altitude providing a mutual verification and to remind controllers of aircraft in their sectors.

Title: CLOSE PROX GA-SMA ACR-MLG OVER SCY.
Narrative: CLRNC WAS T39 DEP CLRED TO ADS VIA V477 TO LEONA VOR THEN TO SCURRY VOR THEN SCURRY 9 ARR. FREQ WAS FIRST PROVIDED BY HOUSTON, THEN FT WORTH CENTERS. THE PROBLEM AROSE WHEN A POSSIBLE AIRSPACE ENCROACHMENT OCCURRED BY AN MLG AIR CARRIER. I RESPONDED BY CALLING THE CTLR AND ASKING WHY I WAS NOT INFORMED OF THIS ACFT. THE CTLR'S RESPONSE WAS 'WHERE WAS I'. MY POSITION WAS DIRECTLY OVER SCURRY VOR. THE CTLR'S NEXT RESPONSE WAS THAT I SHOULD BE ON ANOTHER FREQ. AT THIS TIME I STATED I HAD NOT HEARD A REQUEST FOR A FREQ CHANGE. ADDITIONALLY, I HAD NOT CONFIRMED A CHANGE. I BELIEVE THE CTLR BELIEVED HE HAD PASSED ME TO ANOTHER SECTOR BUT IN ESSENCE FORGOTTEN ABOUT MY FLT. FURTHERMORE, I HAD RECEIVED NO INSTRUCTIONS FROM ATC FOR AT LEAST 1/2 HR, OR ANY XMISSIONS. THE SOLUTIONS ARE NOT EASY, BUT ONE WOULD BE A MANDATORY REQUIREMENT TO BREAK RADIO SILENCE EVERY 15 OR 30 MINS IF NO INSTRUCTIONS OR XMISSIONS ARE RECEIVED BY ATC. THIS COULD BE THE ACFT NUMBER AND ALT PROVIDING A MUTUAL VERIFICATION AND TO REMIND CTLRS OF ACFT IN THEIR SECTORS.
