Narrative:

As I was starting #1 on the ramp. The first officer got the clearance. As we taxied out I assumed that we would depart 21 as it had been the active that we had landed on just a few mins earlier. We checked for traffic crossing 13, and after crossing tower advised us that our taxi clearance had been for an intersection departure on 13. I had previously that day told the first officer not to call for clearance until we were ready to taxi during single engine turns, as he had twice before done this and I hadn't heard the clearance. A contributing factor was that the previous day was 14 hours of duty followed by a reduced rest. Fortunately I have developed a habit of never crossing a runway or taxiway west/O clearing both directions, and there were no conflicting aircraft. The tower could have prevented our crossing by notifying us of our intersection clearance before we crossed 13. Also my first officer should have said something as we crossed 13, as it is clearly marked. I will in the future insist that the first officer's not get clearance until all duties are complete and we are ready to taxi.

Title: RWY TRANSGRESSION. CROSSED RWY WITHOUT CLRNC.

Narrative: AS I WAS STARTING #1 ON THE RAMP. THE F/O GOT THE CLRNC. AS WE TAXIED OUT I ASSUMED THAT WE WOULD DEPART 21 AS IT HAD BEEN THE ACTIVE THAT WE HAD LANDED ON JUST A FEW MINS EARLIER. WE CHKED FOR TFC XING 13, AND AFTER XING TWR ADVISED US THAT OUR TAXI CLRNC HAD BEEN FOR AN INTXN DEP ON 13. I HAD PREVIOUSLY THAT DAY TOLD THE F/O NOT TO CALL FOR CLRNC UNTIL WE WERE READY TO TAXI DURING SINGLE ENG TURNS, AS HE HAD TWICE BEFORE DONE THIS AND I HADN'T HEARD THE CLRNC. A CONTRIBUTING FACTOR WAS THAT THE PREVIOUS DAY WAS 14 HRS OF DUTY FOLLOWED BY A REDUCED REST. FORTUNATELY I HAVE DEVELOPED A HABIT OF NEVER XING A RWY OR TXWY W/O CLRING BOTH DIRECTIONS, AND THERE WERE NO CONFLICTING ACFT. THE TWR COULD HAVE PREVENTED OUR XING BY NOTIFYING US OF OUR INTXN CLRNC BEFORE WE CROSSED 13. ALSO MY F/O SHOULD HAVE SAID SOMETHING AS WE CROSSED 13, AS IT IS CLEARLY MARKED. I WILL IN THE FUTURE INSIST THAT THE F/O'S NOT GET CLRNC UNTIL ALL DUTIES ARE COMPLETE AND WE ARE READY TO TAXI.
