Narrative:
On takeoff, normal rotation, maximum gross weight, aircraft apparently struck tail skid. F/a's reported noise shortly after liftoff. All controls and pressurization were normal. We continued to iah. Upon landing found tail skid plate missing and small hole in aft airstair. I believe aircraft was over maximum gross weight, perhaps due to unreported cargo on board.
