Narrative:
We had pushed back from gate abc and the ramp tower had cleared us to taxi up the right side (north) and transition to the left abeam gate axy as an large transport was facing south at ayz. The foreign air carrier had started their push from the international concourse and was told to hold their push. Air carrier acknowledged and we transitioned to the left side and called ground control for taxi at spot 1N. Ground control instructed us to hold at 1N for sequencing. We had been parked with the brakes set for approximately 2 mins awaiting further instructions when we felt the aircraft lurch and felt buffeting in the yoke. Ramp tower was advised to ask the aircraft behind us to hold down his power as we thought we were experiencing jet blast from their engines. A short time later, a ramp service agent pulled up next to the captain's sliding window and advised that we had been struck by the tail of the widebody transport during their pushback. We conferred with our air carrier ramp tower and shut down our engines and requested assistance. Airport and our authorities arrived and took charge. Passenger were advised of what happened on the PA and were off loaded through the forward passenger door using portable stairs west/O incident. We turned the aircraft over to maintenance and returned to crew scheduling and contacted our chief pilot. Voice recorder circuit breaker was pulled and maintenance supervisor advised he would remove tape and save it for evidence.

Title: DOMESTIC ACR-MLG STRUCK BY FOREIGN ACR-WDB DURING A RAMP HOLD SITUATION. WDB WAS TOLD TO HOLD POSITION AT GATE.
Narrative: WE HAD PUSHED BACK FROM GATE ABC AND THE RAMP TWR HAD CLRED US TO TAXI UP THE R SIDE (N) AND TRANSITION TO THE L ABEAM GATE AXY AS AN LGT WAS FACING S AT AYZ. THE FOREIGN ACR HAD STARTED THEIR PUSH FROM THE INTL CONCOURSE AND WAS TOLD TO HOLD THEIR PUSH. ACR ACKNOWLEDGED AND WE TRANSITIONED TO THE L SIDE AND CALLED GND CTL FOR TAXI AT SPOT 1N. GND CTL INSTRUCTED US TO HOLD AT 1N FOR SEQUENCING. WE HAD BEEN PARKED WITH THE BRAKES SET FOR APPROX 2 MINS AWAITING FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS WHEN WE FELT THE ACFT LURCH AND FELT BUFFETING IN THE YOKE. RAMP TWR WAS ADVISED TO ASK THE ACFT BEHIND US TO HOLD DOWN HIS PWR AS WE THOUGHT WE WERE EXPERIENCING JET BLAST FROM THEIR ENGS. A SHORT TIME LATER, A RAMP SVC AGENT PULLED UP NEXT TO THE CAPT'S SLIDING WINDOW AND ADVISED THAT WE HAD BEEN STRUCK BY THE TAIL OF THE WDB DURING THEIR PUSHBACK. WE CONFERRED WITH OUR ACR RAMP TWR AND SHUT DOWN OUR ENGS AND REQUESTED ASSISTANCE. ARPT AND OUR AUTHORITIES ARRIVED AND TOOK CHARGE. PAX WERE ADVISED OF WHAT HAPPENED ON THE PA AND WERE OFF LOADED THROUGH THE FORWARD PAX DOOR USING PORTABLE STAIRS W/O INCIDENT. WE TURNED THE ACFT OVER TO MAINT AND RETURNED TO CREW SCHEDULING AND CONTACTED OUR CHIEF PLT. VOICE RECORDER CB WAS PULLED AND MAINT SUPVR ADVISED HE WOULD REMOVE TAPE AND SAVE IT FOR EVIDENCE.
