Narrative:
Having satisfactorily completed the before takeoff checklist we asked and received takeoff clearance from san jose tower on runway 30L. We completed the line-up checklist and initiated the takeoff roll. The first officer, myself, was the PF. After a smooth acceleration to about 80 to 90 KIAS both crew members heard a popping sound from the left of the aircraft. The aircraft then started to slowly yaw to the left. The captain assumed control of the aircraft and aborted the takeoff. San jose tower was informed of the aborted takeoff. The tower asked the cause of our abort and we replied 'stand by' and 'unknown at this time'. Having received taxi clearance we returned to the ramp after completing the after landing checklist. After deplaning the passengers we discovered both left main tires had blown on takeoff. The san jose airport police arrived to fulfill their reporting requirements of the incident. A maintenance discrepancy was completed and the aircraft log was closed out for the day. The aircraft was removed from the flight line for repairs. A company confidential incident report was also completed by the PIC.

Title: TKOF ABORTED AS TIRES BLOW ON TKOF.
Narrative: HAVING SATISFACTORILY COMPLETED THE BEFORE TKOF CHKLIST WE ASKED AND RECEIVED TKOF CLRNC FROM SAN JOSE TWR ON RWY 30L. WE COMPLETED THE LINE-UP CHKLIST AND INITIATED THE TKOF ROLL. THE F/O, MYSELF, WAS THE PF. AFTER A SMOOTH ACCELERATION TO ABOUT 80 TO 90 KIAS BOTH CREW MEMBERS HEARD A POPPING SOUND FROM THE L OF THE ACFT. THE ACFT THEN STARTED TO SLOWLY YAW TO THE L. THE CAPT ASSUMED CTL OF THE ACFT AND ABORTED THE TKOF. SAN JOSE TWR WAS INFORMED OF THE ABORTED TKOF. THE TWR ASKED THE CAUSE OF OUR ABORT AND WE REPLIED 'STAND BY' AND 'UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME'. HAVING RECEIVED TAXI CLRNC WE RETURNED TO THE RAMP AFTER COMPLETING THE AFTER LNDG CHKLIST. AFTER DEPLANING THE PAXS WE DISCOVERED BOTH L MAIN TIRES HAD BLOWN ON TKOF. THE SAN JOSE ARPT POLICE ARRIVED TO FULFILL THEIR RPTING REQUIREMENTS OF THE INCIDENT. A MAINT DISCREPANCY WAS COMPLETED AND THE ACFT LOG WAS CLOSED OUT FOR THE DAY. THE ACFT WAS REMOVED FROM THE FLT LINE FOR REPAIRS. A COMPANY CONFIDENTIAL INCIDENT RPT WAS ALSO COMPLETED BY THE PIC.
