Narrative:
I was a first officer on small transport. After completing a before takeoff checklist I switched from ground to tower frequency and advised tower we were ready for departure. Tower instructed us to taxi into position and hold on runway 19R. After holding in position for approximately 10 to 15 seconds, tower cleared us for an immediate takeoff and in the same transmission advised an medium large transport to go around. I looked up and caught sight of an medium large transport doing a blocked landing with his gear in transit about 200' above and in front of us and then it disappeared into the overcast. The captain began his takeoff unaware that the medium large transport was in front of us on the same runway. We continued the takeoff and departed as though everything was normal. After we leveled off at our cruising altitude, we discussed the situation and came to the conclusion that the tower controller cleared us into position on the same runway where the medium large transport was just outside the middle marker. I can only assume that the tower controller saw the medium large transport break out of the 300' overcast and then decided to direct him to go around. We were already on our takeoff roll and had been cleared for an immediate takeoff west/O any further consideration we continued. If the captain, who was the PF, would have been aware of the medium large transport in front of us he would have aborted the takeoff for wake turbulence sep. We did not have time to respond to that option because of the urgency in the voice of the controller for an immediate takeoff, and the fact that the PF was unaware of the medium large transport being that close.

Title: AN ACFT FLEW OVER THE TOP OF ANOTHER ACFT WHILE IT WAS DEPARTING.
Narrative: I WAS A F/O ON SMT. AFTER COMPLETING A BEFORE TKOF CHKLIST I SWITCHED FROM GND TO TWR FREQ AND ADVISED TWR WE WERE READY FOR DEP. TWR INSTRUCTED US TO TAXI INTO POS AND HOLD ON RWY 19R. AFTER HOLDING IN POS FOR APPROX 10 TO 15 SECS, TWR CLRED US FOR AN IMMEDIATE TKOF AND IN THE SAME XMISSION ADVISED AN MLG TO GO AROUND. I LOOKED UP AND CAUGHT SIGHT OF AN MLG DOING A BLOCKED LNDG WITH HIS GEAR IN TRANSIT ABOUT 200' ABOVE AND IN FRONT OF US AND THEN IT DISAPPEARED INTO THE OVCST. THE CAPT BEGAN HIS TKOF UNAWARE THAT THE MLG WAS IN FRONT OF US ON THE SAME RWY. WE CONTINUED THE TKOF AND DEPARTED AS THOUGH EVERYTHING WAS NORMAL. AFTER WE LEVELED OFF AT OUR CRUISING ALT, WE DISCUSSED THE SITUATION AND CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THE TWR CTLR CLRED US INTO POS ON THE SAME RWY WHERE THE MLG WAS JUST OUTSIDE THE MIDDLE MARKER. IF THE CAPT, WHO WAS THE PF, WOULD HAVE BEEN AWARE OF THE MLG IN FRONT OF US HE WOULD HAVE ABORTED THE TKOF FOR WAKE TURB SEP. WE DID NOT HAVE TIME TO RESPOND TO THAT OPTION BECAUSE OF THE URGENCY IN THE VOICE OF THE CTLR FOR AN IMMEDIATE TKOF, AND THE FACT THAT THE PF WAS UNAWARE OF THE MLG BEING THAT CLOSE.
