Narrative:
Taxiing into gate cleared to what sounded like and assumed to be gate bx from the company, the first officer readback ax, to ground as no bx was published on airport charts. Ground said cleared to parking. Our taxi took us to an area of ramp with some barricades on one side that was not clearly idented from the NOTAMS. We got wing walkers told ground and taxied clear after telling ground our intentions and receiving a roger. Flight xyza had just landed and ground became confused as to whom we were and wanted to know where we (xyzb) were. Ground told us we taxied through a closed area after figuring out who and where we were. There was nothing on the NOTAMS about the ramp area being closed. ATIS did state T-3, T-2, and 5 from T-3 tom was closed. The barricades were on ramp and not the taxiway.
