Narrative:
Eglin tower controller gave us a clearance for takeoff, runway 30, maintain runway heading and 5000 ft MSL. No further instructions were given. We could not contact them for further instructions, as we leveled off at 5000 ft MSL we switched on our own to the departure control frequency. As we 'checked in' with eglin departure control, we found out we were in a 'restr area', therefore, we turned away to exit as soon as possible. This restr area is a bombing range. The tower controller just issued us a takeoff clearance and forgot about us. We inadvertently entered the restr area while waiting for the handoff from tower to departure. I have heard military controllers issue a takeoff clearance simultaneously with a change to the departure control frequency. But this did not even happen today. The eglin tower controller negligently allowed us to enter a bombing range. It could have been a serious disaster.

Title: ACR MLG UNAUTHORIZED PENETRATION OF AIRSPACE.
Narrative: EGLIN TWR CTLR GAVE US A CLRNC FOR TKOF, RWY 30, MAINTAIN RWY HDG AND 5000 FT MSL. NO FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS WERE GIVEN. WE COULD NOT CONTACT THEM FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS, AS WE LEVELED OFF AT 5000 FT MSL WE SWITCHED ON OUR OWN TO THE DEP CTL FREQ. AS WE 'CHKED IN' WITH EGLIN DEP CTL, WE FOUND OUT WE WERE IN A 'RESTR AREA', THEREFORE, WE TURNED AWAY TO EXIT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THIS RESTR AREA IS A BOMBING RANGE. THE TWR CTLR JUST ISSUED US A TKOF CLRNC AND FORGOT ABOUT US. WE INADVERTENTLY ENTERED THE RESTR AREA WHILE WAITING FOR THE HDOF FROM TWR TO DEP. I HAVE HEARD MIL CTLRS ISSUE A TKOF CLRNC SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH A CHANGE TO THE DEP CTL FREQ. BUT THIS DID NOT EVEN HAPPEN TODAY. THE EGLIN TWR CTLR NEGLIGENTLY ALLOWED US TO ENTER A BOMBING RANGE. IT COULD HAVE BEEN A SERIOUS DISASTER.
