Narrative:
While on climb out of lax en route to pit on the arwy between lax and dag we requested a north deviation of the arwy to circumvent a build up in our path. We were climbing through 28000' or so and were given permission to deviate north. Once we started around the buildup lax center called and said to limit our deviation to no further north that the 240 degree right of daggett as it was a restr zone. As we reached the 240 degree right we were not around the build up. Center called and said to turn on the 240 degree right. We started a turn and center called and said to tighten up the turn. As we were already 1 mi into the restr area, this put us into the build up with a fair amount of turbulence which lasted for about 5 mi. Had we known we would have been restr as to the amount of deviation allowed to the north, we probably would have tried to deviate south. I realize the necessity of avoiding a restr area, but I also realize the necessity of avoiding a build up.

Title: ACR LGT UNAUTH PENETRATION OF AIRSPACE DEVIATING AROUND TSTM BUILDUP.
Narrative: WHILE ON CLBOUT OF LAX ENRTE TO PIT ON THE ARWY BTWN LAX AND DAG WE REQUESTED A N DEVIATION OF THE ARWY TO CIRCUMVENT A BUILD UP IN OUR PATH. WE WERE CLBING THROUGH 28000' OR SO AND WERE GIVEN PERMISSION TO DEVIATE N. ONCE WE STARTED AROUND THE BUILDUP LAX CENTER CALLED AND SAID TO LIMIT OUR DEVIATION TO NO FURTHER N THAT THE 240 DEG R OF DAGGETT AS IT WAS A RESTR ZONE. AS WE REACHED THE 240 DEG R WE WERE NOT AROUND THE BUILD UP. CENTER CALLED AND SAID TO TURN ON THE 240 DEG R. WE STARTED A TURN AND CENTER CALLED AND SAID TO TIGHTEN UP THE TURN. AS WE WERE ALREADY 1 MI INTO THE RESTR AREA, THIS PUT US INTO THE BUILD UP WITH A FAIR AMOUNT OF TURB WHICH LASTED FOR ABOUT 5 MI. HAD WE KNOWN WE WOULD HAVE BEEN RESTR AS TO THE AMOUNT OF DEVIATION ALLOWED TO THE N, WE PROBABLY WOULD HAVE TRIED TO DEVIATE S. I REALIZE THE NECESSITY OF AVOIDING A RESTR AREA, BUT I ALSO REALIZE THE NECESSITY OF AVOIDING A BUILD UP.
