Narrative:
Commercial chart page 10-9, 12/91 states 'taxiways M and north restr to aircraft 60000 pounds or less,' with arrows pointing to the taxiways only east of runway 16/34. Compare that note to the one right above it that states 'taxiway J east of runway 16R-34L restr to aircraft 60000 pounds or less,' with numerous arrows pointing to taxiways east of 16/34. In actuality, taxiway M west of 16/34 is also weight limited, but taxiway north west of 16/34 is not weight limited. So... You should change the note about M and north to read: ie, M limited to 60000 pounds. North east of 16/34 limited to 60000 pounds. I was new to this airport and when, on landing rollout, tower cleared me to exit runway 16L at north, I questioned them because I had previously read the note stating that north was weight limited (without reference to east or west of runway 16/34). The fact is, the note on north and the note on J are not standardized as to what they mean, and they should be.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: COMMERCIAL CHART INCORRECTLY SHOWS TAXIWAY N W OF RWY 16R-34L RESTRICTED TO ACFT WEIGHING 60000 POUNDS OR LESS.
Narrative: COMMERCIAL CHART PAGE 10-9, 12/91 STATES 'TAXIWAYS M AND N RESTR TO ACFT 60000 POUNDS OR LESS,' WITH ARROWS POINTING TO THE TAXIWAYS ONLY E OF RWY 16/34. COMPARE THAT NOTE TO THE ONE RIGHT ABOVE IT THAT STATES 'TAXIWAY J E OF RWY 16R-34L RESTR TO ACFT 60000 POUNDS OR LESS,' WITH NUMEROUS ARROWS POINTING TO TAXIWAYS E OF 16/34. IN ACTUALITY, TAXIWAY M W OF 16/34 IS ALSO WT LIMITED, BUT TAXIWAY N W OF 16/34 IS NOT WT LIMITED. SO... YOU SHOULD CHANGE THE NOTE ABOUT M AND N TO READ: IE, M LIMITED TO 60000 POUNDS. N E OF 16/34 LIMITED TO 60000 POUNDS. I WAS NEW TO THIS ARPT AND WHEN, ON LNDG ROLLOUT, TWR CLRED ME TO EXIT RWY 16L AT N, I QUESTIONED THEM BECAUSE I HAD PREVIOUSLY READ THE NOTE STATING THAT N WAS WT LIMITED (WITHOUT REF TO E OR W OF RWY 16/34). THE FACT IS, THE NOTE ON N AND THE NOTE ON J ARE NOT STANDARDIZED AS TO WHAT THEY MEAN, AND THEY SHOULD BE.
