Narrative:
Right engine failed with noticeable vibration present after failure on takeoff from clt at approximately 400-600 ft AGL. Reported engine failure and declared emergency to clt tower immediately. Climbed to 3000 ft MSL, made a right turn around to approach (visual) and landing on runway 18R clt. Ran appropriate checklists and shut down and secured right engine after failure. Single engine approach and landing were without conflict or further problem. We were immediately cleared to land any runway. ATC requested souls and fuel on board and were advised. Crash fire rescue equipment equipment was standing by for our landing and followed us to the cargo facility. Names of crew, company etc and phone numbers were given to city/security. Tower was phoned -- same information given. Clt tower was very helpful and cooperative and crash fire rescue equipment's response was immediate.
