Narrative:
After being handed off to ZDC from phl departure we were warned by center of VFR traffic at approximately 5 mi to our 1 O'clock position at 10500 ft, descending. Our TCASII commanded a descent and we followed its commands to approximately 9500 ft. When clear of conflict, we returned to our assigned altitude of 10000 ft.
