Narrative:
Captain was beginning taxi under the direction of a ramp person from a gate that required a hard right turn immediately. Left aft side of aircraft impacted an electric power cart as aircraft swung around out of the parking spot. Cart was not visible from the cockpit. Incident caused by cart not being moved a sufficient distance from aircraft after being disconnected and inattn preoccupation on part of taxi director.

Title: DURING R TURN FROM GATE, AFT FUSELAGE SWUNG OUTBOARD AND STRUCK A PWR CART.
Narrative: CAPT WAS BEGINNING TAXI UNDER THE DIRECTION OF A RAMP PERSON FROM A GATE THAT REQUIRED A HARD R TURN IMMEDIATELY. L AFT SIDE OF ACFT IMPACTED AN ELECTRIC PWR CART AS ACFT SWUNG AROUND OUT OF THE PARKING SPOT. CART WAS NOT VISIBLE FROM THE COCKPIT. INCIDENT CAUSED BY CART NOT BEING MOVED A SUFFICIENT DISTANCE FROM ACFT AFTER BEING DISCONNECTED AND INATTN PREOCCUPATION ON PART OF TAXI DIRECTOR.
