Narrative:
On the loupe 8 from sjc we were cleared to 12000 ft and told to ignore the SID restrictions. Moments later a revised clearance was given to climb to FL230 and disregard speed restrictions. Apparently we were still expected to cross sjc VOR at 12000 ft before resuming our climb to FL230. In the confusion the aircraft crossed the sjc VOR at 12500 ft. We were concentrating on the next restriction to cross the sjc 339 degree radial/8 DME at or above 14000 ft. ATC advised us there was no problem or conflict, so we resumed our normal climb to FL230. Our managed navigation was set up correctly but I selected 'open climb' when the revised clearance was issued, which negated our SID restriction.

Title: FLC OF ACR LGT ACFT OVERSHOT THEIR XING RESTRICTION ALT DURING DEP CLB.
Narrative: ON THE LOUPE 8 FROM SJC WE WERE CLRED TO 12000 FT AND TOLD TO IGNORE THE SID RESTRICTIONS. MOMENTS LATER A REVISED CLRNC WAS GIVEN TO CLB TO FL230 AND DISREGARD SPD RESTRICTIONS. APPARENTLY WE WERE STILL EXPECTED TO CROSS SJC VOR AT 12000 FT BEFORE RESUMING OUR CLB TO FL230. IN THE CONFUSION THE ACFT CROSSED THE SJC VOR AT 12500 FT. WE WERE CONCENTRATING ON THE NEXT RESTRICTION TO CROSS THE SJC 339 DEG RADIAL/8 DME AT OR ABOVE 14000 FT. ATC ADVISED US THERE WAS NO PROB OR CONFLICT, SO WE RESUMED OUR NORMAL CLB TO FL230. OUR MANAGED NAV WAS SET UP CORRECTLY BUT I SELECTED 'OPEN CLB' WHEN THE REVISED CLRNC WAS ISSUED, WHICH NEGATED OUR SID RESTRICTION.
