Narrative:
Leaving orlando, the clearance says to maintain 250 KTS until advised by ATC. After passing 10000 ft, I lowered the nose and accelerated to about 300 KTS. About 11000 ft, I realized my error and throttled back to slow to 250 KTS. Our crew arrived from the hotel at the airport about xlpm, only to find our aircraft was broken. It was a problem where they did not know when it would be fixed. We ended up sitting at the airport from xtpm to xupm when we left to ferry the plane to rdu, where we were to spend. I guess my only concern was to get there as quickly as possible. Though safety was never compromised, I was not concentrating as much as I should. Although there are 2 other crew members, no one else noticed the excessive speed.
