Narrative:
Traffic in the sector was relatively light. Approximately 8 airplanes but it was somewhat complex. At least 4 of these planes had been rerouted into the sector due to WX. I was transitioning 2 of them into the low altitude stratum and vectoring 1 other. Cpr X was at FL280 requesting FL350 and Y was at FL290 and already handed off to the next sector. I was vectoring Z who was at FL310, away from X to transition the aircraft to a lower altitude and also to climb X to his requested of FL350. I became busy with some point-outs, and after Z had cleared X by 5 mi, I climbed X to FL350 and descended Z to FL260. I was observing a 40 KT overtake situation and when I saw the conflict alert between Y and X, I descended X back to FL280 but separation had already been lost.
