Narrative:

First officer heard and read back takeoff clearance to paris orly tower. He was not challenged after readback. As we started to taxi onto the runway, tower had us hold position and stated takeoff clearance was for another aircraft. We acknowledged, then after a light business jet departed from an intersection downfield we were cleared for takeoff. French tower controller was hard to understand with his accent and was speaking french and english to different aircraft. Supplemental information from acn 273387: crew misunderstood tower clearance for line up and takeoff on runway 25. Copilot readback clearance and was not challenged on readback by tower. Captain taxied onto runway 25 and was then challenged by tower that he had not given us clearance to line up and takeoff.
