Narrative:
Encountered strong downdrafts and severe turbulence on an abandoned approach to ILS 9 at mci. We were still descending during full thrust recovery and once we exited the downdrafts, we shot through our assigned altitude.

Narrative: ENCOUNTERED STRONG DOWNDRAFTS AND SEVERE TURB ON AN ABANDONED APCH TO ILS 9 AT MCI. WE WERE STILL DSNDING DURING FULL THRUST RECOVERY AND ONCE WE EXITED THE DOWNDRAFTS, WE SHOT THROUGH OUR ASSIGNED ALT.
