Narrative:
Tower asked us to report 1 mi and cleared for the visual runway 9. At this time we were 2 mi north on base. We turned final and landed. Once on the ground, tower advised we had not been cleared to land. One of the contributing factors was fatigue from being in a field environment for the past week, with little rest the night before.
