Narrative:
Flying from dallas love field to little rock, was cleared to FL260 from FL220. In the climb we noticed an aircraft above us on TCASII coming our direction. We reduced power to idle and began a descent as we notified ATC of an impending conflict. We had been given a turn for a shortcut to lit. PF on jumpseat also heard us cleared to FL260 and my acknowledgement.

Title: FLC OF AN MLG STOPPED THEIR CLB IN RESPONSE TO A TCASII RA.
Narrative: FLYING FROM DALLAS LOVE FIELD TO LITTLE ROCK, WAS CLRED TO FL260 FROM FL220. IN THE CLB WE NOTICED AN ACFT ABOVE US ON TCASII COMING OUR DIRECTION. WE REDUCED PWR TO IDLE AND BEGAN A DSCNT AS WE NOTIFIED ATC OF AN IMPENDING CONFLICT. WE HAD BEEN GIVEN A TURN FOR A SHORTCUT TO LIT. PF ON JUMPSEAT ALSO HEARD US CLRED TO FL260 AND MY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT.
