Narrative:

Altitude deviation. Descending to 11000 ft on the arrival over scurry, the autoplt failed to capture the selected altitude. The aircraft descended to approximately 10500 ft after taking manual control. The autoplt had been previously written up for not capturing an altitude and was signed off as 'bite test good.' the fact that it had worked on climb out and cruise lulled us into thinking it was alright. However closer review of the previous write up showed that it had malfunctioned during descent.
