Narrative:
Between oak to slc, was descending from altitude and given a crossing restr, 'cross 40 NM west of slc VOR at 10000 ft and 250 KIAS.' this restr was issued from ZLC. A handoff to approach was issued and upon initial contact with slc approach, a heading of 060 degrees and an altitude of 11000 ft MSL was issued. The discrepancy was acknowledged and no further altitude changes were made.

Narrative: BTWN OAK TO SLC, WAS DSNDING FROM ALT AND GIVEN A XING RESTR, 'CROSS 40 NM W OF SLC VOR AT 10000 FT AND 250 KIAS.' THIS RESTR WAS ISSUED FROM ZLC. A HDOF TO APCH WAS ISSUED AND UPON INITIAL CONTACT WITH SLC APCH, A HDG OF 060 DEGS AND AN ALT OF 11000 FT MSL WAS ISSUED. THE DISCREPANCY WAS ACKNOWLEDGED AND NO FURTHER ALT CHANGES WERE MADE.
