Narrative:

On the morning of the above date I was proceeding on assigned altitude and heading given to me by departure control. I was advised of other traffic at my 10 O'clock position. I advised departure no contact. At approximately 1 min later a king air 200 appeared directly ahead of me. I took immediate evasive action. After passing the aircraft I made the statement to the controller 'boy that was close.' the controller responded by saying sorry about that. Another voice came on and told me to maintain VFR. I advised that I was VFR and had been since takeoff. I fly frequently out of adams field and recognize most of the controllers by voice. This sounded as though they were working with a trainee. My opinion is that someone was not supervising as closely as they should have been.
