Narrative:
Due to final weight manifest check being slow to arrive and due a short taxi, the final takeoff preparations were hurried. I thought that I had heard we were cleared into 'position and hold' on runway 17R, but when we finally could confirm this with ATC, the nose of our plane was onto the edge of runway 17R. When we confirmed and was informed we were not cleared onto the runway, I quickly exited at M9 (first available) as I knew there was an aircraft on final confirmed visually when taking runway. We then taxied onto taxiway M and waited for further instruction to takeoff after a B737 took off. Supplemental information from acn #339375: an airplane on final approach was forced to go around as a result of our incursion.

Title: FLC TAXIED ONTO RWY WITHOUT CLRNC. ACFT ON APCH HAD TO GAR. TWR LCL CTLR CLRED RPTR ACFT TO CLR RWY.
Narrative: DUE TO FINAL WT MANIFEST CHK BEING SLOW TO ARRIVE AND DUE A SHORT TAXI, THE FINAL TKOF PREPARATIONS WERE HURRIED. I THOUGHT THAT I HAD HEARD WE WERE CLRED INTO 'POS AND HOLD' ON RWY 17R, BUT WHEN WE FINALLY COULD CONFIRM THIS WITH ATC, THE NOSE OF OUR PLANE WAS ONTO THE EDGE OF RWY 17R. WHEN WE CONFIRMED AND WAS INFORMED WE WERE NOT CLRED ONTO THE RWY, I QUICKLY EXITED AT M9 (FIRST AVAILABLE) AS I KNEW THERE WAS AN ACFT ON FINAL CONFIRMED VISUALLY WHEN TAKING RWY. WE THEN TAXIED ONTO TXWY M AND WAITED FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTION TO TKOF AFTER A B737 TOOK OFF. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN #339375: AN AIRPLANE ON FINAL APCH WAS FORCED TO GAR AS A RESULT OF OUR INCURSION.
