Narrative:
On climb out, just before dtw ATCT switched us to departure, we heard tower clear another company aircraft, with same call sign to switch to ground control. We waited for tower to switch us to departure control. As he did, he said something about our takeoff roll and the takeoff clearance. The captain asked him 'to repeat' but he said 'disregard.' we believe he got confused over the flts with the same numbers. We asked dispatch if there were 2 flts with the same call sign and they responded via ACARS that they acknowledged the 2 flts. Company was aware we had a WX delay, but never changed our call sign. I'm concerned because tower made the comment also of 'he was working 2 runways and 3 frequencys with WX reported at a quarter mi or 3000 ft RVR.' in my opinion, this too is an unsafe practice.

Title: AN ACR MLG, A DEPARTING ACFT, STATES THAT HIS ACR HAD AN INBOUND ACFT ON ATCT FREQ, WITH THE SAME TRIP NUMBER. THE RPTR BELIEVES THAT THE ATCT LCL CTLR WAS OVERWORKED.
Narrative: ON CLBOUT, JUST BEFORE DTW ATCT SWITCHED US TO DEP, WE HEARD TWR CLR ANOTHER COMPANY ACFT, WITH SAME CALL SIGN TO SWITCH TO GND CTL. WE WAITED FOR TWR TO SWITCH US TO DEP CTL. AS HE DID, HE SAID SOMETHING ABOUT OUR TKOF ROLL AND THE TKOF CLRNC. THE CAPT ASKED HIM 'TO REPEAT' BUT HE SAID 'DISREGARD.' WE BELIEVE HE GOT CONFUSED OVER THE FLTS WITH THE SAME NUMBERS. WE ASKED DISPATCH IF THERE WERE 2 FLTS WITH THE SAME CALL SIGN AND THEY RESPONDED VIA ACARS THAT THEY ACKNOWLEDGED THE 2 FLTS. COMPANY WAS AWARE WE HAD A WX DELAY, BUT NEVER CHANGED OUR CALL SIGN. I'M CONCERNED BECAUSE TWR MADE THE COMMENT ALSO OF 'HE WAS WORKING 2 RWYS AND 3 FREQS WITH WX RPTED AT A QUARTER MI OR 3000 FT RVR.' IN MY OPINION, THIS TOO IS AN UNSAFE PRACTICE.
