Narrative:

Cleared for visual behind a shorts 360. Distracted due to late turn on resulting in overshooting the runway. High -- working on getting gear down. Momentarily losing shorts on final. Monitoring new first officer of 4 months who was PF making sure aircraft getting configured to final approach mode. All checklist were read with response and completed. Approach never told us to contact tower nor did I prompt them. I realized my mistake on touchdown. I switched to tower who told us to contact ramp. Nothing was mentioned by either controller.
