Narrative:
Shortly after leveling off at 6000 ft TCASII sounded a traffic alert followed by an RA commanding a 2000 FPM climb to avoid traffic at 11 O'clock 800 ft below and climbing. We followed the RA and advised ATC. We climbed to 6300 ft and saw traffic pass by below and slightly south of us. TCASII at that time showed the traffic 600 ft below and level. After clear of traffic returned to 6000 ft.
