Narrative:
During cruise the #1 engine oil quantity slowly diminished towards empty. Anticipating an in-flight precautionary shutdown, we (crew) reviewed the appropriate checklists. Approximately 10 mi from bermuda the quantity fell to zero, and the low oil pressure light came on. We secured the #1 engine, ran the engine out checklist, and landed uneventfully.
