Narrative:

We were descending into lga, captain flying. I, the first officer, was reviewing my approach plate and checking some paperwork. As I looked up, we were at 9500 ft and 340 KIAS. As we began to slow, approach asked for our airspeed. I do not believe a loss of separation occurred. We could have prevented this by paying more attention to detail!
