Narrative:
Approximately 2 hours into the flight the captain came on the PA and announced that we would be landing in lhr in 45 mins due to a hydraulic leak. He explained at that time to both passenger and crew that we were in no immediate danger and that he wasn't going to cross the atlantic with the problem. He made timely PA's as needed including one explaining that crash trucks would be meeting the aircraft and not to be alarmed. We discontinued our meal service and cleared the cabin for landing. The landing was uneventful, the aircraft was repaired and we continued to mia.
