Narrative:
During cruise at FL350, TCASII commanded an RA to climb for traffic. TCASII indicated traffic 400 ft below us. Climbed aircraft to FL360 as commanded by TCASII RA. ZDC notified as soon as he got done with his current transmission. Center advised and confirmed the target traffic at FL270 (so TCASII warning false). Aircraft returned to FL350. ZDC frequency 124.02, wilmington sector 35.

Title: AN ACR MLG LEAVES FL350 FOR FL360 AFTER RECEIVING A TCASII RA. THE ALERT TURNED OUT TO BE A FALSE ALARM FOR AN ACFT AT FL270.
Narrative: DURING CRUISE AT FL350, TCASII COMMANDED AN RA TO CLB FOR TFC. TCASII INDICATED TFC 400 FT BELOW US. CLBED ACFT TO FL360 AS COMMANDED BY TCASII RA. ZDC NOTIFIED AS SOON AS HE GOT DONE WITH HIS CURRENT XMISSION. CTR ADVISED AND CONFIRMED THE TARGET TFC AT FL270 (SO TCASII WARNING FALSE). ACFT RETURNED TO FL350. ZDC FREQ 124.02, WILMINGTON SECTOR 35.
