Narrative:

Approximately 5 mins after takeoff, I noticed at the same time as the #1 flight attendant, that the cabin was 'hazy.' the haze became a little 'grayer' and the #1 flight attendant called and asked me if I thought the cabin was smoky. I said yes, let the cockpit know immediately. She did, they looked out, at which time I began to smell burning wire, an electrical wire burning smell. I called the cockpit, they said ok and were obviously very busy. I called the #1 flight attendant and she informed me that the captain said the evacuate/evacuation signal, if necessary, would be 'easy victor'. We landed without incident, taxied to the gate and proceeded to operations.
