Narrative:

I was working in the aft galley, so everything I know is from other flight attendants telling me. Shortly after boarding and before takeoff, one of the passenger who was overweight told one of the flight attendants, that she had heart problems and was on medication. The flight attendant asked if she had her medication, she said it was in her suitcase that she had checked. Right after the meal service, she was complaining of chest discomfort. The purser paged for a doctor and a doctor came forward to check the passenger. The captain told me he talked to the doctor and the doctor advised him that we needed to land the aircraft. We were in the middle of nowhere, and I got a call from the purser saying 'close everything up, we're landing in 20 mins.' we landed in kansas city. The paramedics came onboard and took off the passenger and her husband. We were on the ground about 45 mins before we took off again.
