Narrative:

I witnessed a passenger board and take her seat. An agent came on and told her she was being denied boarding and had to deplane. She refused and was told that if she refused she would be removed by the police. She did refuse. Our departure was delayed. The captain made a PA explaining the delay was regarding a security issue. The police came on. After some discussion, the lady deplaned and we departed. As far as I understand, the passenger had been extremely unruly and belligerent to the gate agents. She expressed disregard for the authority/authorized of the captain. The agents decided to deny her boarding. The captain agreed, not wanting to possibly have to land the plane somewhere between dfw and ewr because of the passenger unruliness. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter said that he was not directly involved with the woman, but the flight attendant taking tickets in the boarding area told him about the precipitating factors leading up to her being led off the plane by the police. Evidently, liquor did not seem to be a factor, but weariness did. Her ticket was rejected by the ticket machine in the boarding area, so the boarding flight attendant sent the woman back to the podium to have the problem resolved. This is when the woman went 'ballistic' and started yelling and swearing at the agents. As she was finally boarded, she overheard the agent tell the flight attendant that 'if the woman caused any more trouble, have the captain order her off.' the woman then sarcastically said that the captain didn't have that authority/authorized. After taking her seat and complaining loudly, the agent asked her to get off. When she refused, they called the police, who escorted her off the plane.

Title: FLT ATTENDANT RPT, B727, DFW-EWR, AFTER BOARDING, UNRULY AND VERBALLY ABUSIVE PAX REMOVED FROM PLANE BY DALLAS POLICE.

Narrative: I WITNESSED A PAX BOARD AND TAKE HER SEAT. AN AGENT CAME ON AND TOLD HER SHE WAS BEING DENIED BOARDING AND HAD TO DEPLANE. SHE REFUSED AND WAS TOLD THAT IF SHE REFUSED SHE WOULD BE REMOVED BY THE POLICE. SHE DID REFUSE. OUR DEP WAS DELAYED. THE CAPT MADE A PA EXPLAINING THE DELAY WAS REGARDING A SECURITY ISSUE. THE POLICE CAME ON. AFTER SOME DISCUSSION, THE LADY DEPLANED AND WE DEPARTED. AS FAR AS I UNDERSTAND, THE PAX HAD BEEN EXTREMELY UNRULY AND BELLIGERENT TO THE GATE AGENTS. SHE EXPRESSED DISREGARD FOR THE AUTH OF THE CAPT. THE AGENTS DECIDED TO DENY HER BOARDING. THE CAPT AGREED, NOT WANTING TO POSSIBLY HAVE TO LAND THE PLANE SOMEWHERE BTWN DFW AND EWR BECAUSE OF THE PAX UNRULINESS. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR SAID THAT HE WAS NOT DIRECTLY INVOLVED WITH THE WOMAN, BUT THE FLT ATTENDANT TAKING TICKETS IN THE BOARDING AREA TOLD HIM ABOUT THE PRECIPITATING FACTORS LEADING UP TO HER BEING LED OFF THE PLANE BY THE POLICE. EVIDENTLY, LIQUOR DID NOT SEEM TO BE A FACTOR, BUT WEARINESS DID. HER TICKET WAS REJECTED BY THE TICKET MACHINE IN THE BOARDING AREA, SO THE BOARDING FLT ATTENDANT SENT THE WOMAN BACK TO THE PODIUM TO HAVE THE PROB RESOLVED. THIS IS WHEN THE WOMAN WENT 'BALLISTIC' AND STARTED YELLING AND SWEARING AT THE AGENTS. AS SHE WAS FINALLY BOARDED, SHE OVERHEARD THE AGENT TELL THE FLT ATTENDANT THAT 'IF THE WOMAN CAUSED ANY MORE TROUBLE, HAVE THE CAPT ORDER HER OFF.' THE WOMAN THEN SARCASTICALLY SAID THAT THE CAPT DIDN'T HAVE THAT AUTH. AFTER TAKING HER SEAT AND COMPLAINING LOUDLY, THE AGENT ASKED HER TO GET OFF. WHEN SHE REFUSED, THEY CALLED THE POLICE, WHO ESCORTED HER OFF THE PLANE.
