Narrative:

Shortly after departure, flight attendant reported smoke in cabin. We declared emergency and returned to airport. By the time we were on the ground, smoke had dissipated and after careful inspection by fire crews on runway we taxied to gate and deplaned. Due to smoke in cabin we landed at 174000 pounds at ccs. Landing was smooth. Supplemental information from acn 447571: on the departure leg, flight attendants reported smoke and fumes. Flight engineer went to investigate and confirmed the report. Captain turned over the flying to me (the first officer) at which time we donned oxygen masks and proceeded with the checklists. We declared an emergency and returned to maiquetia for an overweight landing. After fire personnel checked the plane, we continued taxi to the gate and offloaded.
