Narrative:
A 'tail swap' occurred on flight xyz fll-mdw, and I either did not catch the change notice provided by the company, or a change notice was not provided to my computer. The change notice program we have does not always alert a dispatch desk in a consistent manner. Sometimes there is a chime, sometimes not. And there have been times when the change notice program was not working for brief periods. The company advised me of the problem several days later. The 'swap' was from 1 B727 to another similar B727.
