Narrative:
Upon reading job instruction card #wxw revision apr/xa/00 booster, install slave shaft item #1, I noticed the balance fixture number was not on the balance fixture used by air carrier. The numbers on the fixture don't match the job card. The same problem is on item #2 of the job card. These are for a lifting ring ysf and the slave shaft #xxz. I was trained to use the balance fixture, and am qualified for build and balance of booster assemblies. I have balanced several boosters using the fixture supplied. I now realize that by using a fixture not called out for on the job card, and signing the above mentioned items (#1 and #2), I have falsified a maintenance record. I do not believe this to be a problem that affects the airworthiness of the engine, but is a job card problem. I have brought the problem to the attention of my lead, foreman, and the engineer who writes our job cards. The correction is in process at this time.

Narrative: UPON READING JOB INSTRUCTION CARD #WXW REVISION APR/XA/00 BOOSTER, INSTALL SLAVE SHAFT ITEM #1, I NOTICED THE BAL FIXTURE NUMBER WAS NOT ON THE BAL FIXTURE USED BY ACR. THE NUMBERS ON THE FIXTURE DON'T MATCH THE JOB CARD. THE SAME PROB IS ON ITEM #2 OF THE JOB CARD. THESE ARE FOR A LIFTING RING YSF AND THE SLAVE SHAFT #XXZ. I WAS TRAINED TO USE THE BAL FIXTURE, AND AM QUALIFIED FOR BUILD AND BAL OF BOOSTER ASSEMBLIES. I HAVE BALANCED SEVERAL BOOSTERS USING THE FIXTURE SUPPLIED. I DO NOT BELIEVE THIS TO BE A PROB THAT AFFECTS THE AIRWORTHINESS OF THE ENG, BUT IS A JOB CARD PROB. I HAVE BROUGHT THE PROB TO THE ATTN OF MY LEAD, FOREMAN, AND THE ENGINEER WHO WRITES OUR JOB CARDS. THE CORRECTION IS IN PROCESS AT THIS TIME.
