Narrative:
At the stated time and location, we aborted takeoff due to a baggage door open warning. Before exiting the runway, the light went out, but we ran the checklist and had ground personnel resecure the door. At this point, according to new company policy, an entry was made describing the discrepancy but I was unsure of exactly how to fill in the log. I attempted to contact maintenance control but 'dial access' was down. I made some entries describing the event and in the 'corrective action' side I described what we had done to correct the situation, ie, 'ran checklist.' upon arrival at destination, I realized I should not have written on that side of the log but before I could change it maintenance took a copy of the page and the company believed I was trying to falsify a document and I have been suspended. I believe better pilot training and/or a more relaxed relationship with management via an 'amnesty' program would have given me the information I needed to make my intention more clear.
