Narrative:
During a visual approach to runway 35R at sdf, I overshot my turn to final, and passed through the extended centerline of the runway. This would have caused my aircraft to infringe on the airspace of another aircraft on approach to runway 35L if I had not corrected back to the centerline. The tower controller saw the potential conflict, warned our flight of the deviation, and issued a traffic alert to the other aircraft.

Title: DC9 CREW OVERSHOT TURN ON FINAL FOR A VISUAL.
Narrative: DURING A VISUAL APCH TO RWY 35R AT SDF, I OVERSHOT MY TURN TO FINAL, AND PASSED THROUGH THE EXTENDED CTRLINE OF THE RWY. THIS WOULD HAVE CAUSED MY ACFT TO INFRINGE ON THE AIRSPACE OF ANOTHER ACFT ON APCH TO RWY 35L IF I HAD NOT CORRECTED BACK TO THE CTRLINE. THE TWR CTLR SAW THE POTENTIAL CONFLICT, WARNED OUR FLT OF THE DEV, AND ISSUED A TFC ALERT TO THE OTHER ACFT.
