Narrative:
We were told to hold at canan intersection on V487. We held instead at canan on V130. Both myself and first officer confirmed the radial and input holding into the FMC. ATC called us to say we were holding but it looked like we were off the airway, we took action to correct. Soon after we were vectored around to the airport. There were thunderstorms over the alb airport and they were changing runways every few mins along with WX and wind updates continually. Also, first officer was very busy checking landing data continually. We both should have been more alert for correct holding instructions, but with thunderstorms and high cockpit workload we were distraction.
