Narrative:
The purser came to the flight deck to talk about an unruly passenger. He said the passenger had been drinking from her own container after she had been cut off by the flight attendants. She grabbed a flight attendant by the tie and pulled him closer to her. He pushed her hand away and told her that she could not continue with this behavior. She was also told that if her behavior continued, the aircraft would be met by the auths. I asked if the flight attendant had been injured. He had not. It was decided to have customer service representative supervisor meet the flight. Dispatch was informed. When the purser returned to the cabin, he called me and said the passenger was out of control. She was throwing objects at the flight attendants and had grabbed a passenger by the testicles. It was decided to restrain the unruly passenger. 4 united states marines restrained the passenger. 6 others helped. Touch-cuffs were used to restrain the passenger. I ensured the cuffs were applied properly. 3 doctors helped to ensure the passenger health. Valium was administered. The flight operations manual checklist was used. Satcom was used. Cabin use of satcom was disabled to ensure uninterrupted flight deck usage. The other passenger were moved away. Dispatch and the flight operations manager were part of the process. Because the ebbr gsc had concerns about 5 moroccans on board, the marines guarded the cockpit during the disruption.
