Narrative:

Flight attendant injury. Departing gate ict ground crew ran to right side of aircraft and rapped on right side of aircraft. #2 crew man gave crossed wands sign. Captain immediately responded with braking, thinking an emergency was imminent. The aircraft was taxiing in a turn and the motion in stopping caused the aircraft to veer sharper left. The ground crew informed us that a hatch was open and they closed it. The #2 flight attendant notified us that flight attendant #1 was hurt and we investigated. The first officer interviewed the flight attendant 3 times. Each time she assured the flight crew that she was fine and able to perform her duties. The captain also took the lead in asking her health status on 2 occasions during the 15 min interlude that we remained parked. On every occasion she insisted that she was fit for duty and pleaded with us to continue and not seek medical help. We elected to have emts examine her upon arrival to ensure her safety.
